So in 1991 Morrissey announces a U.S tour, and the response is, astonishingly, remarkable. Long-stretching ticket lines were being formed numerous days in advance, selling like hotcakes, and even managing to sellout the 18,000 seat Hollywood Bowl in record time, a record previously held by The Beatles and one that has not been scratched since. It became known that Morrissey fans were NOT joking, and the concerts reflected the obsession. With numerous stage invasions, becoming a hazard to the fans and to Morrissey. Thus, on the '91 tour, captured on film and in front of 15,000 ambitious followers, the Dallas, Texas stage invasion became a historic happening, which exhibited the Morrissey fanatic, which still lives on today.
